Irises were the first flowers I ever put into fabric. They were in honor of my father who had passed away and it was a Siberian Iris dubbed St Stephen.
That collection really resonated with so many other iris lovers and opened my eyes to how personal our fabric experience is.
Many wonderful people shared their favorite flowers with me and told me stories about how their mothers. daughters, aunts and sisters loved these regal blooms too!
So I had to paint a dancing iris with my first Northcott collection! This phot is the actual fabric. Enjoy!
